The Masters' Houses, created by Walter Gropius, suffered detrimentally due to their ever changing history. In spite of this they still show a high level of quality.
The financial basis for an authentic restoration could only be established after 1991 even though the buildings were under protection as early as 1970. The restoration process began in 1992 with work on the Feininger House. Following their inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1996, it was possible to restore the Kandinsky/Klee House and the Muche/Schlemmer House. Since then more than 300 000 guests have visited the Masters' Houses.
The Masters' Houses Foundation aims to fully support the restored cultural heritage in its business endeavours and in its long term preservation. Furthermore it will work towards a completion of the ensemble.

You can support the work of the foundation by your donation.

We will be pleased to inform you of the up to date state of the project.
