Paul Klee (1879-1940) occupied the house from 1926 to 1933

Called to the Bauhaus in Weimar by Walter Gropius.
Founded the group "die blauen Vier" (The Blue Four) with Feininger, Jawlensky and Kandinsky, who exhibited mostly in the USA. Closure of the Bauhaus in Weimar.
The council agreed to take over the Bauhaus Master at the Bauhaus - Head of Book Binding, Head of Glass Painting, course "Elementary Surface Design", public painting classes and weaving design, " Pädagogisches Skizzenbuch" (Pedagogic Sketch Book) appearing in the series of Bauhaus Books. Moves to Dessau. Lives in one of the semi-detached houses, with Wassily and Nina Kandinsky as neighbours.
Resigned his contract with the Bauhaus and became Professor at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf, but temporarily held onto his house in Dessau.
Emigrates to Switzerland.
