| 1924 | The rightwing parties in the Thurigian parliament bring increasing political and economic pressure to bear. Gropius and the Masters resign. |
| 1925/26 | Move to Dessau and re-founding as the "Dessau Bauhaus, High School for design". Building of the Bauhaus and the Masters' Houses. |
| 1928 | Resigns as director of the Bauhaus. Architect in Berlin as well as intensive lecturing about new building forms and the Bauhaus. |
